Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a hands‑on technical specialist to help Marvin bring automation and robotics solutions to life across our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will implement, integrate, and stabilize automation technologies in real‑world production environments. You will help ensure new systems are thoughtfully deployed, effectively commissioned, and ready to create measurable improvements in safety, quality, productivity, and repeatability across multiple operations.

Highlights of your role
  • Lead or support the deployment of automation and robotic systems into manufacturing processes, from integration planning through startup and stabilization.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, controls, and external vendors to ensure equipment is functional, supportable, and aligned to production needs.
  • Program, commission, debug, test, and refine automation systems to improve performance, reliability, and ease of operation.
  • Define and validate system requirements, integration points, and process flow considerations for new automation solutions.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to robotics, sensors, controls, interfaces, and machine performance in a production environment.
  • Document integration methods, lessons learned, and technical standards to support repeatability and replication across lines, cells, and facilities.
  • Support the scaling of successful automation solutions, including robotics, automated material handling, and related production technologies.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can)
  • Experience in automation, robotics, controls, mechatronics, manufacturing systems integration, or a closely related technical discipline.
  • Experience working with industrial equipment, robotic work cells, PLC‑based control systems, or electromechanical manufacturing processes.
  • Experience supporting automation projects, equipment startups, controls integration, or robotics implementation in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work hands‑on with equipment while supporting technical planning, documentation, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes across mechanical, electrical, controls, and process‑related systems.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into practical, reliable, and production‑ready manufacturing solutions.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering teams, operations, suppliers, and plant stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and applying safe practices during equipment integration, commissioning, testing, and operational support.
  • Detail‑oriented approach to equipment deployment, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for advancing manufacturing capability through automation and technology.
Also want to make sure you have
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and manufacturing automation experience.
  • Experience with robotic programming, machine vision systems, end‑of‑arm tooling, safety systems, or advanced sensing technologies.
  • Experience integrating machines, conveyor systems, motion control systems, or automated material handling solutions.
  • Exposure to automated technologies such as Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), or Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).
  • Experience standardizing, replicating, or scaling automation solutions across multiple production lines, manufacturing cells, or facilities.
  • Experience supporting the design, commissioning, and optimization of advanced manufacturing and automation systems.
