Job summary

Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking an Automation/Quality Software Engineer (SDET) to work onsite in Cincinnati, OH. The role requires hands-on experience with test automation using Java or similar languages and proficiency in scripting tests from scratch.

You will work within Agile teams, contributing to CI/CD pipelines and modern testing practices. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of automation development, strong knowledge of Playwright/Selenium/Cucumber/Jenkins, and solid foundations

Qualifications

• 3+ years of test automation development using Java or similar programming languages.
• Proficiency in scripting automation tests from scratch.
• Experience with automation tools like Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins.
• Strong knowledge of version control systems (Git, ClearCase).
• Experience with modern test frameworks and test-driven development practices.
• Solid foundation in SQL, XML, HTML, JavaScript, Java, or Python.
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently within Agile teams.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Curiosity about emerging technologies and a drive to stay current.

Nice to Have Skills

• Java + Spring framework
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Automation tools/frameworks such as JUNIT, Jasmine, Protractor
• Experience with API design oservices architecture
• UI and UX design knowledge
• Python scripting experience
• Exposure to automation within customer-facing product environments

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• Proven experience in agile development environments
• Hands-on experience with automation testing in cloud and on-premise setups
