Job summary

RhythmScience, Inc. is seeking a QA Engineer (Automation + Functional) to own software quality for a remotely-based US team.

You will build automated end-to-end and regression tests using Playwright, run functional and integration testing across web and mobile apps, and collaborate with product and engineering to define test plans and acceptance criteria. You’ll participate early in feature development, shape release readiness criteria, and track defects with clear reports.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software QA with hands-on automation experience (Playwright or equivalent).
• Ability to write test plans from product requirements and own them through release.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Self-directed in a fast-moving startup. You build the process, not just follow it.
• US-based with West Coast overlap for day-to-day work with product and engineering.
• Strong written communication for clear, reproducible bug reports and test documentation.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated end-to-end and regression tests (Playwright) and keep them running reliably in CI/CD.
• Run functional, regression, and integration testing across our web and mobile apps.
• Partner with product and engineering to develop test plans for new features. Define acceptance criteria early.
• Help define release readiness criteria and quality gates as the team grows.
• Triage, reproduce, and clearly document defects; track quality signals and surface them to the team.
• Improve our testing tooling and processes as we scale.
