Job summary

asmexternalcareersite is seeking an automated QA engineer to contribute to QA activities across projects, developing automated tests in Java for web front end and microservices. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and CI/CD teams to implement robust test automation components.

The role requires hands-on experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Serenity, and SQL, plus familiarity with Agile processes and large-scale federal IT programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• minimum 2 years hands on automated test coding experience using Java (or development experience with C++ or C#).
• Experience with CI/CD; Behavior Driven Development (Cucumber); Java frameworks such as Spring/Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Participates in QA activities including test case, requirements and design reviews.
• Executes test events: test plan, test scripts, schedule management, test report.
• Documents and debriefs team members on test results.
• Develops automated test scripts to validate functional, technical, and performance requirements.
• Defines automated testing components with developers, shared services, and product managers.
• Drives test automation techniques with team members.
• Develops using Java and executes automated tests on Web Front end and microservices.
• Runs validations at DB, rules, logging, reporting and UI levels.
• Assists Scrum team estimation to include test automation and CI engagement.
• Contributes to cross-functional teamwork within an Agile lifecycle.
