Job description

Pacific International has been retained by a global leader in the manufacturing space currently navigating a transformation. With transformation at the forefront of their organizational strategy, they have retained Pacific on a search for a Lean Automation Program Leader to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of lean automation initiatives across the organization’s operations footprint.

This highly visible role reports to the Integrated Operations Transformation and Continuous Improvement Leader and will play a key role in combining principles of Lean Manufacturing with automation and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to improve processes, eliminate waste, and enhance efficiency across global manufacturing sites.

The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands‑on leader who can drive lean automation initiatives in collaboration with cross‑functional teams and promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the organization.

Essential Functions
  • Manage lean automation projects from conception through implementation, including budget management and resource allocation.
  • Analyze current processes and workflows to identify opportunities for automation and lean improvement.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including IT, operations, engineering, quality, and finance, to ensure alignment and successful execution of projects.
  • Apply Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Kaizen, and Six Sigma to optimize processes and drive improvements.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies that align with business goals and optimize existing processes using appropriate tools and technologies.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure the success and effectiveness of lean automation initiatives, providing reporting to stakeholders.
  • Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies within the organization.
  • Promote and embed a culture of continuous improvement and innovation related to automation and lean practices.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of people and technical program leadership experience in continuous and discrete manufacturing environments, with a focus on program management and lean manufacturing.
  • Proven ability to influence at all organizational levels with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of Lean methodologies and tools, with familiarity in automation technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), AI, or machine learning.
  • Highly motivated problem‑solver with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
  • Willingness to travel globally, with a minimum travel commitment of 30%
