Job summary

ENGEL Machinery North America is hiring a Junior Buyer in Automation to support procurement, order management and administrative operations. The role emphasizes meticulous organization, timely supplier communications and cost-effective sourcing in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of procurement experience, strong attention to detail and solid communication skills. Travel is minimal; benefits include comprehensive health, 401k and PTO options for a career growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or coursework in business, supply chain or related field is a plus.
• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, administrative coordination or related field.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Order Management: Process and manage order confirmations from vendors.
• Track and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Resolve discrepancies in orders, invoices or deliveries.
• Communicate with vendors to confirm order details and delivery schedules.
• Resolve issues promptly and maintain positive supplier relationships.
• Update internal teams on any delivery or supply chain disruptions.
• Asset Management: Oversee scheduling, maintenance and availability of company cars and local apartments.
• Office Supplies Management: Monitor and manage office supply inventory.
• Research and source cost-effective options for office needs.
• Parts procurement for Wilmington Facility: Manage the ordering of parts and supplies for the Wilmington facility.
• Bulk Hardware for Automation team: Manage procurement of bulk hardware for automation projects.
• Coordinate with internal team to ensure timely hardware availability.
• Administrative Support: Assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for all responsibilities.
