Qualifications

• Four-year technical degree or 4 year+ experience in production roll forming.
• Comprehension of physics, mathematics, and material science.
• Experience with Notchers, Roll Forming, Benders, Plastic, Extruders and TPV molding.
• Experience developing and testing internal and external packaging.
• Experience creating and maintaining engineering documents such as job breakdowns and work instructions.
• Experience evaluating material flow.
• Experience calculating production cell capacity.
• Experience with APQP process and documentation preferred.
• Lean manufacturing, process statistics, and quality systems knowledge.
• Strong communication across plant levels and with customers/managers.

Responsibilities

• Specify design criteria for extrusion interfacing with the mold and sign off on manufacturability.
• Create and send equipment specifications to vendors; obtain quotes.
• Create tooling specifications and coordinate vendor quotes.
• Be the key interface between the plant and tool vendors.
• Procure equipment and tooling; track vendor timing and approvals.
• Assist in equipment layout and ensure proper installation per specs.
• Train supervisors and operators; troubleshoot during launch and life of program.
• Oversee continuous improvement projects to refine processes and capability.
• Support new launch products with development for improved safety, capability and reliability.
• Collaborate with plant management and operators on ergonomics and ROI.
