The Role:

We are looking for our next Automation & Process Control Engineer within our Automation & Process Control Team. The Automation & Process Control Engineer will be responsible for the administration of our industrial controls equipment across the Roquette America facilities. This position has primary responsibilities as administrator for the industrial controls equipment architecture implemented along with security thereof. Secondary responsibilities include projects as part of automation and process control as pertaining to the DCS / PLC systems. This position will be required to maintain the DCS/PLC systems to ensure proper operation.

This position is located in Keokuk, Iowa.

Compensation:

The current salary range for this role is estimated to be $87,210-$118,000. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation. The specific compensation offered to a candidate will be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

What You'll Do:

Primary Responsibilities - Administrator:

  • Design, implement and maintain the architecture component
  • Ensure documentation and manuals are up to date
  • Apply cyber security policies
  • Deploy and apply best practices and solutions
  • Ensure the overall maintenance, monitoring and reporting
  • Effectively communicate on cyber security needs
  • Ensure and facilitate cyber security training and changes to the team
  • Have all the necessary skills to execute the tasks below:
    • Manage local user accounts and local cyber security software/ equipment
    • Add a computer to the domain, install and restore a computer
    • Install backup & anti-virus software and schedule patch installation
    • Install and replace network switches
    • Start / stop virtual machines

Secondary responsibilities - Engineer:

  • Design and implement both hardware and software needed for DCS/PLC equipment to support new projects and upgrades to existing equipment.
  • Develop software and graphics for new projects as well as those for process improvements.
  • Participate in projects with cross-functional groups including engineering, electrical and controls, production managers and team leaders.

Core responsibilities:

  • Maintain the DCS/PLC systems to ensure proper operation throughout the Keokuk facility.
  • Provide technical support to both operations and maintenance personnel to resolve problems with system operation.

What You'll Need:

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred

Experience:

  • 1-5 years of experience with Industrial Controls Systems
  • Comprehension of cyber security systems, network switches, filters, firewalls, virtualization
  • Strong computer skills with understanding and control of Microsoft Windows environments
  • Proficient with Foxboro DCS and/or Rockwell PLCs preferred.
  • Knowledge desired with Foxboro, Rockwell, Siemens Automation systems as well as Aspen
  • Knowledge desired developing process control software
  • Ability to work with minimal oversite to see projects thru to completion
  • Must provide on-call and off-hour coverage as scheduled
