Job summary
Nestlé Purina North America in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a Controls Technical Specialist I to troubleshoot, maintain and enhance PLC-based automation systems on production lines. You will work with maintenance to support line modifications and upgrades while ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.
The role requires an associate degree in a technical field with PLC experience (or a strong high-school pathway with extensive PLC/HMI exposure).
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline and 1+ years of applicable experience in PLC software and electrical/hardware troubleshooting and/or PC-based HMI-systems.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 3+ years of applicable experience in PLC software and electrical/hardware troubleshooting and/or PC-based HMI-systems.
Responsibilities
- Configure, program and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls (PLC).
- Perform Preventive Maintenance for controls and organize electrical/control parts inventory.
- Provide programming and electrical support on plant capital projects.
- Implement control systems software upgrade.
- Provide instrumentation, PLC and HMI/SCADA software and hardware support to plant maintenance staff.
