Job summary

QCS Staffing in the United States is seeking an Automation PLC Area Lead for a 12-month contract in Ohio to support a Life Sciences project. This role will help deliver a world-class program by shaping automation design and control strategies.

The successful candidate will specify PLC architecture, Rockwell hardware strategies, industrial networking, and PLC/HMI design, coordinating reviews and approvals with the project team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automation, Electrical, Controls, or related engineering.
• Extensive automation and industrial control-system experience.
• Experience converting requirements into functional automation designs.

Responsibilities

• Define automation design basis and control philosophy.
• Develop PLC system architecture and Rockwell hardware strategy.
• Plan industrial network and communication architecture.
• Create PLC/HMI functional design specifications.

Be part of a next-generation pharmaceutical project thats transforming how medicines are made.
We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for an Automation PLC Area Leader to support this project and help deliver this world-class program.

What You’ll Deliver

The Area Lead may personally author, own, coordinate, review, or approve the following:

• Automation design basis and control philosophy
• PLC system architecture
• Rockwell hardware and controller strategy
• Industrial network and communication architecture
• PLC/HMI functional design specifications

What you’ll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.
• Extensive progressive automation, controls, or industrial control-system experience.
• Strong experience designing and delivering complex PLC-based automation systems.
• Experience converting process and user requirements into functional automation designs.
