Boccard Life Sciences, industrial integrator located in 35 countries, designs, manufactures, assembles, and installs process solutions for its customers worldwide in the Food & Ingredients, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics, and Brewing Industries.
Under limited supervision, the Automation Lead is responsible for the manufacturing automation and controls systems design, specification, documentation, programming, simulation, testing, and start-up assistance. The incumbent will be the point person on their projects for all automation needs.
Position Functions
- Assign specific tasks to automation engineers for project execution
- Provide guidance to customer during project meeting
- Work as part of a larger multi-disciplined project team
- Create the I/O List from Equipment List and P&IDs
- Develop the Functional Analysis based on a Functional Description from a Mechanical Process Engineer
- Develop the PLC and HMI programs based on Functional Analysis
- Lead commissioning Team for equipment startup on site
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test, and Commissioning. Produce related technical documentation for their respective protocols
- Compile and author the Operator Installation Manual and technical equipment files
- Provide operator and maintenance technician training
- Provide feedback on the project for overall process improvement
- Communicate with stakeholders about his/her project team
Requirements & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Controls and/or Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
