Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field with 15+ years of pharma/biotech automation experience.
• MS in engineering or related field with 10+ years of pharma/biotech automation experience.
• Leadership in implementing complex automation platforms and large-scale deployments.
• Extensive hands-on Hamilton STAR liquid handling experience.
• Experience with NGS library prep and high-throughput RNA processing.
• Experience integrating automation with Benchling or similar ELN/LIMS.
• Fluency in Python or similar scripting languages.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal partners to understand workflows and develop automation solutions that improve throughput and data quality.
• Design automation workflows minimizing variability with structured metadata capture and traceability.
• Lead implementation of automation platforms including RNA processing and NGS workcells.
• Develop robust liquid handling methods on Hamilton STAR platforms and standardize workflows.
• Implement integrated automation workcells with robotics and analytical instrumentation.
• Collaborate with scientists, hardware/software engineers, informatics, and data teams.
• Provide end-user training and support for ELN/LIMS like Benchling.
• Contribute to vendor selection for automation hardware and software.
