Job summary
OPmobility seeks a Plant Process Engineer – Automation to lead digital factory initiatives and integrate PLC/MES across production lines in Spring Hill, TN. The role focuses on optimizing automation systems and ensuring peak efficiency in manufacturing.
You will collaborate with IT/IS teams, suppliers, and operations to enhance PLC logic, deploy AI-enabled defect detection, and maintain ISO & OSHA standards in a fast-paced automotive environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field with 5 years PLC/automation experience.
- Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or related field with 3 years PLC/automation experience.
- Experience with Siemens PLC/HMI configuration and programming and industrial IT systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead implementation and maintenance of Digital Factory systems and coordinate with IT/IS teams.
- Assist in installation and programming with suppliers.
- Debug, troubleshoot, modify automation equipment; optimize PLC logic to reduce cycle time.
- Define test plans and documentation; ensure ISO & OSHA compliance.
