Job summary

Omnicell is seeking a Traveler Automation Pharmacy Technician 4 to travel nationwide, operating and optimizing hospital automation systems.

You will support go-lives, training, and ongoing customer success while ensuring compliance and high performance in busy inpatient environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA – CPhT/ExCPT).
• Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration for state of residence.
• 1+ year inpatient pharmacy experience (preferred).
• Valid driver’s license and REAL ID and/or U.S. passport.
• COVID‑19 vaccination.
• Ability to travel 100%.

Responsibilities

• Travel to hospital customer sites to operate, support, and optimize Omnicell automation technologies.
• Assist with backups, system implementations and go-lives, including medication assignment and inventory management.
• Perform daily equipment operation, inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
• Manage medication assignments remotely or onsite to ensure accurate setup and optimal inventory levels.
• Deliver hands-on customer support and training to drive adoption and long-term success.
• Collaborate with Professional Services and project teams for smooth implementations.
• Act as SME for Omnicell automation for customers and internal teams.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, credentialing requirements, policies, and travel guidelines.

Automation Pharmacy Technician 4, Traveler - CIN OH

Overview

As Traveler Automation Pharmacy Technician 4, you will travel to customer sites to operate, support, and optimize Omnicell’s advanced pharmacy automation technologies. You’ll play a critical role in backup support, go-lives, training, and ongoing customer success while supporting the Autonomous Pharmacy.

This role is ideal for experienced inpatient or CPhT pharmacy technicians who enjoy travel, technology, and making a real impact on patient care.

What You’ll Do

• Travel to hospital customer sites to operate, support, and optimize Omnicell automation technologies, including i.v.STATION, IVX Station & Workflow, XR2, PakPlus, and Automated Dispensing Cabinets.
• Support our hospital sites as backups, system implementations and go‑lives, including medication assignment, inventory loading/unloading, and staging activities.
• Perform daily equipment operation, inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting following SOPs and best practices.
• Manage medication assignments remotely or onsite using Omnicell tools to ensure accurate setup and optimal inventory levels.
• Deliver hands‑on customer support and training to drive adoption, confidence, and long‑term success.
• Collaborate closely with Professional Services and project teams to ensure smooth implementations and positive customer outcomes.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Omnicell automation, supporting both customers and internal team members onsite.
• Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, credentialing requirements, customer policies, and Omnicell travel and expense guidelines.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA – CPhT/ExCPT)
• Active State Board of Pharmacy Technician License/Registration for state of residence
• 1+ year inpatient pharmacy experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and REAL ID and/or U.S. passport

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
• 2+ years hospital pharmacy automation experience
• 1+ year IV compounding experience
• Automation implementation and basic troubleshooting experience
• Previous travel‑based role experience

Drug Screen: Required

Base Compensation: $26.00 to $28.00
