Day in the Life

As a Pharmacy Services Pharmacy Technician IV, you will ensure the seamless daily dispensing of sterile compounded medications using Omnicell's automated IV equipment. Your responsibilities include equipment management, material management, inventory control, documentation, and customer communication.

Responsibilities
  • Perform IV automation tasks accurately, following SOPs.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment regularly.
  • Manage medication inventories and supplies.
  • Review and update documentation diligently.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and pharmacy management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Current PTCB, NHA, CPHT, or ExCPT certification.
  • Active State Pharmacy Technician License for Ohio (if applicable).
  • Knowledge of IV compounding.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • One year of IV compounding experience.
  • Experience with sterile environments and automation devices.
  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
Work Conditions
  • Location: 10500 Montgomery Rd., Cincinnati, OH.
  • Shift options: 1st and/or 2nd shift, with shift differential.
  • Ability to travel for training.
  • Stand for long periods, lift up to 35 lbs., exposure to hazardous drugs.
