Job summary

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a Millwright Specialist for our Texarkana, TX site. This full-time position involves erecting steelwork, installing and aligning equipment, and operating power tools and welders to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include reading instructions, performing retooling and tests, debugging automated systems, and supporting other millwrights. Candidates should have 3–4 years at journey level and training program completion or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Completion of training program or equivalent.
• 3 - 4 years work at journey level.

Responsibilities

• Erects structural steelwork, installs production plant and machine shop equipment; locates, sets and levels machines and equipment; operates power tools, welders, cutters and other shop tools.
• Reads and understands operating instructions. Performs retooling, adjusting, retiming, pressure checks, and test runs of machines to insure that the finished end item is satisfactory in appearance and according to specifications.
• Debugs automated equipment; makes test runs; sets up equipment for production operation; maintains automated equipment.
• May instruct and assist other Millwrights in the maintenance of automated equipment.
• Follows training when work requires handling hazardous waste and related documentation; cleans up work area.
• Maintains segregation of contaminated/hazardous waste and follows Hazardous Waste Training Program.
