Job summary

ID Logistics US is seeking an Automation Operator (Wrangler) for the 2nd shift. You will monitor LGV equipment, respond to alarms, and coordinate with maintenance and supervision to minimize downtime while maintaining quality checks. Training provided on all line equipment and functions to ensure rapid issue resolution.

The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, good communication, and attention to detail to keep lines running smoothly and safely in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
  • Three+ years of related experience and/or training or equivalent.
  • Must complete post-hire assessments and obtain equipment certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor LGV equipment and respond quickly to alarms and faults.
  • Communicate with team leaders and supervisors to address issues and prevent downtime.
  • Use HMI to monitor system performance and resolve jams or faults.
  • Maintain productivity and downtime logs.
  • Perform routine quality checks on case codes, pallet labels, and package integrity.
  • Keep work area clean and free of debris.

2 positions available

2nd shift: 2:30pm-10:30pm Monday-Friday. Overtime as needed.

Description of the Position:

The Automation Operator (Wrangler) will be responsible for monitoring multiple pieces of equipment on the new LGV's (laser guided vehicle/forklift). This person(s) will receive training on all equipment on the line, and on any given day, will be stationed at various locations on the line, monitoring machine performance and responsible for keeping the equipment running. The operator must be capable of knowing all machine functions, recognizing machine faults, rectifying root cause of failure, and get machines back in operation quickly. The operator must also possess basic mechanical abilities so that they can understand machine functionality, as well as making minor machine adjustments when necessary. Operators must also have attention to detail, good communication skills, and have the ability to track downtime on the line.

Salary: $25 per hour with additional $1.50 per hour shift differential.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the LGV equipment and react quickly to alarms and faults on the line.
  • Communicate directly with appropriate personnel when alarms or other situations requiring attention become apparent. This activity is a critical preventive method of addressing issues before they cause a system stoppage.
  • Utilize HMI (human/machine interface) to monitor system performance and ensure any system jams, faults or other system performance drains are identified and resolved prior to generating system downtime.
  • Maintain and update productivity and downtime logs.
  • Communicate with Team Leader or Supervisor, Automation Mechanics, and other Automation Operators to solve problems as a team in an expeditious manner.
  • Perform routine quality checks on a specified time frame to ensure proper case code, proper pallet label quality, and overall package integrity.
  • Keep working area clean and free of debris.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
