Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Physics, or related field with multi-year experience; MS or PhD paths noted in ad
• Hands-on optics, metrology, measurement and inspection in industrial/automation environments
• Mechanics and design principles: fixtures, tooling, alignment, tolerance analysis, precision assembly
• Lead technical projects across engineering disciplines with strong communication
• Programming in C#, C++, Java; solid software engineering fundamentals

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate automated measurement, sensing, inspection, and test solutions across complex automation systems
• Lead system architecture decisions, feasibility studies, and proof-of-concept development to evaluate and reduce technical risk
• Drive integration of measurement hardware, sensors, fixtures, and software into broader automation platforms; troubleshoot performance, accuracy, and repeatability issues
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and manufacturing teams to define requirements and deliver integrated solutions
• Mentor junior engineers, support intellectual property documentation, and communicate project results and risks to stakeholders
