Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of practical mechanical engineering experience in material handling, automation, conveyor systems, packaging equipment, or automated storage.
• Strong 2D/3D CAD capability; AutoCAD preferred, SolidWorks or comparable modeling experience welcome.
• Understanding of system integration, mechanical layouts, statics, dynamics, GD&T, equipment specifications, and vendor collaboration.
• Ability to manage assigned project components independently, communicate clearly, and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical subsystems for automated material-handling projects, including conveyors, mezzanines, and support structures.
• Create 2D/3D CAD layouts, calculations, documentation, and material-flow diagrams.
• Own smaller projects typically in the $500K–$1M range and build toward larger work over time.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, sales, vendors, customers, and cross-functional teams to bring solutions from concept through integration.
• Support equipment selection, vendor coordination, project planning, site installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Help improve engineering tools, standards, and processes while building expertise in warehouse automation.
