Job summary

Weiss-Aug, a leader in precision manufacturing, seeks an Automation Manager at our Fairfield, NJ campus. You will lead an automation team, design and quote new automation projects, and coordinate all automation initiatives across the enterprise.

Qualifications

Four-year college degree in Engineering required.
At least 5 years of experience in automation; design experience required.
Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day activities, goal setting, performance management, and development of the team.
Quote/Design new automation.
Project Manager for Automation build projects.
Involved in all new Engineering Automation projects to determine and recommend sensing and automation needs.
Interface with outside vendors and automation suppliers to get quotes and manage outside purchases of automation equipment.
Research and purchase any new systems, equipment, hardware, software, components, etc.
Hands on programming, wiring, troubleshooting, building, integrating, etc.
Mentor team members and provide support for their career development goals.
