Job summary

Amcor Limited is seeking an Automation Technician to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on automated equipment and robots in our Kentucky facility. The role emphasizes safe, efficient operation of molding lines and automation systems, with a focus on housekeeping and adherence to food safety and plant safety policies.

The technician will address daily PMs, mold-change coordination, and robot troubleshooting while ensuring compliance with Amcor’s safety standards and EEO guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform a daily walk through focusing on part containment, equipment condition and keeping walkways clear in automation areas.
• Check molding grid daily for mold change schedule.
• Check JDE system daily for scheduled PMs.
• Pit-stop equipment according to molding pit stop schedule.
• Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Mold change setup and part containment.
• Troubleshoot and repair bailer equipment.
• Repair offline and online automation equipment including robots.
• Install, maintain and fabricate guards and safety devices on automated equipment.
• Maintain high levels of housekeeping around work areas.
• Perform duties safely and professionally as required by supervision.
• Comply with ISO/SQF and Plant Safety policies.
