Job summary

Western Sugar Cooperative in Fort Morgan, CO seeks an Electromechanical Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot complex automated systems within packaging and warehouse areas. You will collaborate with engineers and other technicians to keep equipment safe, efficient, and within tolerances.

The role requires understanding electrical circuits, mechanical systems, and computer control systems, with 2+ years in automation and PLC familiarity; local travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or diploma in Electromechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience with automated systems, robotics, and industrial machinery preferred, PLC experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure electromechanical systems and automated machinery.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on packaging and warehouse equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in machinery, electrical, and control systems.
• Program and calibrate controllers, sensors, and actuators.
• Maintain CMMS records and up-to-date wiring diagrams and SOPs.
