Job summary

Tasty Brands LLC in Owensboro, KY is looking for an Automation Maintenance Technician to maintain highly automated food processing and packaging equipment. You will serve as the primary resource for electrical controls, PLCs, HMIs, drives, and safety systems.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to maximize uptime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness while adhering to GMP and SQF standards in a refrigerated environment.

Qualifications

3-5 years of maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
Strong hands-on experience with automated food packaging equipment.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery.
Advanced electrical troubleshooting: motor controls, three-phase power, VFDs, servo systems, sensors, and panels.
Experience with PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schnider/Schneider, Beckhoff.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair automated RTE food packaging equipment (thermoformers, tray sealers, conveyors, slicers).
Diagnose and resolve electrical/controls issues on PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and sensors.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on automation systems.
Read and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
Support commissioning, startup and validation of new packaging equipment.
Maintain maintenance records and troubleshoot documentation.
Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, OSHA, and food safety requirements.
