Job summary

OSM Worldwide in Glendale Heights, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our automation and sortation systems running at peak performance. This hands-on role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and supporting new equipment installations.

You will troubleshoot equipment like conveyors, motors, sensors, and pneumatic controls, coordinate with vendors, manage spares, document repairs, and mentor junior technicians.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in industrial, manufacturing, distribution, automation, or logistics environments.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Ability to read schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Experience using standard hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment issues.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Respond to equipment downtime and restore operations quickly.
• Support installation of new equipment and automation upgrades.
• Work with vendors and contractors on equipment projects.
• Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies.
• Document repairs and maintenance activities.
• Provide technical guidance to other technicians when needed.
