Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) is constructing a new aerospace manufacturing facility in Mendota Heights. We seek an Automation Maintenance Technician to keep advanced systems running safely and reliably from day one.

You’ll help shape maintenance standards, perform preventive work, and contribute to continuous improvement in a high-tech plant. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, an associate degree in a related field, and hands-on PLC/VFD troubleshooting,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Technology, Electronics, Millwright, or Instrumentation & Controls.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and VFDs, especially Allen-Bradley systems.
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Comfort working with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Proactive mindset and desire to shape maintenance systems in a new facility.

What You'll Do

As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you'll play a critical role in keeping our advanced manufacturing systems running safely, efficiently, and reliably from the very start.

In this role, you will:

• Support a safe, high-performance workplace by following safety and environmental standards
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across automated equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize uptime
• Document maintenance activity within our CMMS system
• Help establish and maintain a critical spare-parts inventory strategy
• Support startup activities, equipment commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Expand your skills through ongoing training, certifications, and exposure to advanced automation technologies

What Makes You a Strong Fit

We're looking for technicians who are curious, collaborative, and energized by modern automation environments.

Preferred qualifications:

• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Technology, Electronics, Millwright, or Instrumentation & Controls (or equivalent hands‑on experience)
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience troubleshooting PLC​s and VFDs (especially Allen‑Bradley systems)
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills
• Comfort working with Excel, Word, and Outlook
• A proactive mindset and desire to help shape maintenance systems in a new facility

What We Offer

Hourly Pay: $36.00 - $42.00 (DOE)

Bonus: Up to 5% quarterly bonus potential
