Job summary

Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) invites an Automation Maintenance Technician to join a brand-new Mendota Heights facility. You will ensure safe, reliable operation of advanced automation and help build maintenance standards from inception.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, experience with PLCs/VFDs (Allen-Bradley preferred), and are eager to establish preventive and predictive programs while documenting work in CMMS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent hands-on experience in Mechatronics, Automation, Electrical Technology, Electronics, Millwright, or Instrumentation & Controls.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs and VFDs (Allen-Bradley preferred).
• Strong electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Proactive mindset to shape maintenance in a new facility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain advanced automated systems safely, efficiently, and reliably from day one.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic subsystems on automated equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize uptime.
• Document maintenance activity in the CMMS system.
• Help establish and maintain a spare-parts inventory strategy.
