Job summary

Nissin Foods in Piedmont, SC is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair production machinery, including PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and robotics. You will work with contractors on projects and ensure safety standards and GMP compliance across the line.

Qualifications include a BS in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or 5 years’ experience, plus strong PLC/SCADA capabilities and the ability to perform preventative maintenance and documentation.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering or 5 years’ experience.
• Experience with high-volume production equipment.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Knowledge of PLC software and programming required.
• Ability to work shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Electrical troubleshooting and repair of all production machinery/equipment.
• Maintain equipment schematics and update after modifications.
• Assist in implementing automated industrial assembly machines and production lines using robotics and conveyors.
• Maintain library of PLC and other device backups and updates.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
• Provide support to other mechanics/electricians and coordinate with contractors on projects.
• Identify improvements for legacy equipment to boost efficiency.
• Attend safety and production meetings as required.
