Job summary

MiTek Industries, Inc. is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in Tolleson, AZ to drive automation, safety, and productivity across the manufacturing floor. The role partners with Production, Maintenance, Quality, Safety, and Supply Chain to implement new technologies, support automation, and troubleshoot equipment issues.

You will lead capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing/automation engineering with GD&T, Lean, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
• Six Sigma Certification required.
• 5+ years in manufacturing or automation engineering roles.
• GD&T experience required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles and data-driven decisions.
• Support and optimize automation, controls, and robotic systems for reliability and throughput.
• Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for equipment and processes.
• Lead equipment installations, validation, commissioning, and NPI activities.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce downtime and improve performance.
• Manage capital improvement projects including planning, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
• Monitor metrics and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Ensure safety standards, machine guarding, risk assessments, and company policies.
• Evaluate and recommend new manufacturing technologies aligned with business goals.
