Job summary

IPL Schoeller in Goodyear, AZ is seeking an Automation Lead to oversee and optimize our plant automation maintenance program across a high-volume manufacturing environment.

You will coordinate PM/repair work with the Operations and Maintenance teams, manage spare parts inventories, and ensure safety and QA compliance while driving efficiency improvements and plant expansions. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and works closely with Operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years’ experience with the setup and operation of plant automation systems.
• Injection molding experience required.
• Experience with large tonnage machines (4000 tons).
• Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards.
• Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, implements, and manages the automation maintenance program.
• Coordinates PM/Repair work with Operations team and maintenance manager.
• Monitors spare parts inventories and coordinates reordering.
• Maintains and repairs automation equipment and secondary systems.
• Maintains and updates maintenance manuals and procedures.
• Monitors operation of plant equipment and systems.
• Leads projects to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs.
• Supports safety, health, and environmental policies and QA requirements.
• Reports to Maintenance Manager and coordinates with teams on maintenance activities.
