Job summary

Accenture Federal Services is seeking an Automation Lead to drive efficiency across a data platform. You will lead a team building core automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and reusable Terraform modules, while contributing technically to tool development and ensuring reliable, scalable data capabilities.

Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, designing IaC strategies, and collaborating with Data Engineering and AI/ML teams to accelerate delivery in a secure, U.S. government context.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or automation-focused software/data engineering.
• At least 2 years in technical leadership or mentorship.
• Expert-level IaC with Terraform.
• Deep experience designing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Strong scripting/programming in Python.
• Experience in AWS or Azure.
• US Citizenship (No Dual Citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering, software, and MLOps workflows.
• Develop IaC strategy and Terraform modules for consistent provisioning.
• Architect automated testing, monitoring, and alerting for data platforms.
• Promote automation best practices and provide templates for adoption.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Products, and AI/ML teams to accelerate work.
• Evaluate new automation tech and tools to improve capabilities.
• Automate complex, repetitive tasks to reduce human error.
