Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in California is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to monitor, operate, and maintain life support systems and water treatment equipment across the park.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, experience with electrical systems, and the ability to work weekends and varied shifts. You will perform inspections, calibrations, and repairs while upholding safety policies and providing excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• Minimum of two years experience at a Level II, plus three years related experience or equivalent.
• Valid state driver's license; DMV report copy required for visitors/students/military.
• Able to read electrical/electronic schematics.
• Able to interact with guests and co-workers from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups.
• Strong written/verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Stand and walk for extended periods; occasional sit, climb, balance, smell.
• Work weekends, holidays, early mornings and late evenings.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, operate, and maintain life support controls and water treatment equipment.
• Inspect and service instrumentation and support equipment daily.
• Test, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electrical systems and components.
• Ensure safety and environmental policies are followed.
• Maintain cleanliness of facilities and park areas.
• Schedule and supervise maintenance tasks and document logs.
• Install and replace instrumentation and related equipment.
