Job summary

Rocket Lab in the United States, Mississippi, is hiring a Ground Systems Engineer, Automation Controls to commission, test, update, and troubleshoot ground software interfaces for Neutron engine test campaigns at the Stennis Space Center.

You will collaborate with propulsion, software, IT, and instrumentation teams; develop test plans, document procedures, and support on-site and remote installations during testing and calibration activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent qualification.
• Hands-on experience with data processing systems.
• Proficiency in Git and working with issue trackers.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot software issues across test site systems.
• Collaborate with IT and ground systems teams to deploy test site software.
• Produce documentation, operator manuals, maintenance procedures, test procedures, and work instructions.
• Develop and execute test plans for ground software and engine interfaces.
• Perform post-test data analysis and reporting.
• Be point of contact for software requests on site and escalate as needed.
• Support onsite or remote installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs for automating test operations.
