Job summary

State of New Hampshire, Department of Transportation, Bureau of Right-of-Way, seeks an Engineering Technician V Automation Specialist in Concord, NH. This role coordinates GNSS activities across several Bureaus and advances 3D modeling and GNSS use department-wide.

The candidate will develop policies, QA/QC procedures, and training for daily construction inspections, leveraging ArcGIS and GNSS software; a strong background in land surveying and construction engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Seven years engineering experience, two years at a level equivalent to Engineering Technician IV.
• Associate's degree in engineering or related field; additional education may substitute for work experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all GNSS activities related to e-Construction initiatives for Construction, Highway Design, and Right-of-Way.
• Develop processes for project delivery to the Bureau of Construction and CAD/D Section staff.
• Support the Geodetic Survey Section and maintain access to the CORS network yearly.
• Provide day-to-day expert advice and technical support for engineering automation; may visit active sites.
• Develop standards and specifications for engineering and construction automation; perform QA/QC.
