Job summary

ABB is seeking an engineering/CS intern to gain hands-on experience across automation projects in a hybrid onsite setup at Chicago, IL or Alpharetta, GA. You will work with cross-functional teams, support operations, and develop skills in automation testing, installation, and documentation.

You must be enrolled in a relevant degree program in the United States, have reliable transportation, and be legally eligible to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field in the United States.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to support ABB’s operations and ensure timely project completion.
• Identify client solutions using insights from ABB’s offerings to meet customer expectations.
• Participate in team meetings and provide progress updates.
• Assist in development and testing of automation software.
• Assist with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of automation systems.
• Create technical sales demonstrations and user manuals for automation systems.
• Support project inventories and equipment management.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
