Job summary

Rockline Industries seeks an Engineer I - Process Controls Programmer to program, troubleshoot, and maintain Rockwell Automation systems in our Morristown, TN manufacturing operations. This role supports chemical mixing, blending, batching, and transfer processes to ensure safe, reliable production.

You will assist with configuration, testing, documentation, and commissioning of PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation, working with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, EHS, and IT/OT teams to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Automation or related engineering field.
• Fundamental understanding of batching, sequencing, alarms, interlocks, and recipe management.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, motor controls, and industrial networking.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, P&IDs, and process documentation.
• Willingness to troubleshoot, test, document, and participate in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Modify, troubleshoot, and write PLC, HMI, and VFD programs for chemical mixing and batching processes.
• Create electrical schematics, control narratives, and I/O documentation for mix/blend lines.
• Identify process improvements and assist with installation, commissioning, and support.
• Perform testing, commissioning, and validation of programming changes.
• Troubleshoot root causes affecting batch quality, uptime, and operator usability.
• Maintain safety systems, alarms, interlocks, and guarding circuits.
