Job summary

Alfa Laval is seeking an Automation Engineer for our Buffalo, NY location to own electrical automation projects from quotation through commissioning. You will design electrical systems, CAD drawings, PLC/HMI programs, and supporting technical documentation, and provide commissioning and aftermarket support to customers and field teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Electrical/Automation design and support background preferred.
• Up to 35% travel for commissioning and support activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical and automation projects from quotation through commissioning, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Design and develop electrical systems, CAD drawings, PLC/HMI programs, and supporting documentation.
• Provide commissioning and aftermarket support, and travel to customer sites as needed.
