Secunetics in the United States is seeking an Automation Engineer with Network Experience to interface with our team and clients. This is a highly visible, client-facing role where you will contribute to our mission of optimizing network performance. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

and be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance. The ideal candidate will have Cisco/Juniper expertise, IPv6 design, BGP/OSPF routing, REST APIs, Python automation, and container

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
• 3+ years of network operations and engineering experience.
• Expert level experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent.
• Experience implementing and configuring IPv6 addressing schemes, routing, and security, including in cloud environments.
• Solid understanding of networking technologies including BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, TAPs, and traffic brokers.
• Proficiency writing automations with scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Working knowledge of YANG, YAML, and JSON.
• Familiarity with using REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of Git.
• Working knowledge of Docker or Podman.
• Excellent understanding of technology concepts such as SDLC, systems engineering, IT performance management, IT operations, operational monitoring, security monitoring, and KPIs.
• Knowledge of various IT infrastructure technologies (e.g., applications, servers, networks, and storage).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including technical writing.
