As part of the Chemistry Operations team, your role is to support day-to-day operations, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital projects. You will gain experience with automation principles, Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) hardware and software, as well as design, procurement, commissioning, qualification, and troubleshooting equipment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
We are seeking a dynamic self-starter with excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams to achieve objectives. An ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in automation/controls engineering and problem-solving skills.
This role is meant as learning opportunity for an individual who is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation/Controls Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Under the direction of an Automation/Controls Engineer at Promega's small molecule manufacturing facility, this person will obtain hands-on work experience by completing automation projects to improve process workflows, increase operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and procedures. The internship will last approximately three months, starting in May 2027 and ending in August 2027. There is some flexibility regarding start and end dates.
