Job summary

Novartis is seeking an Automation Engineer III (Vial Line) for its Durham, NC site, onsite only. The role focuses on automation design, system maintenance, and support for GMP manufacturing, including DCS, BMS, SCADA, and data historian platforms.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical GMP operations.
• Experience with DCS/SCADA/HMI systems and manufacturing automation.

Responsibilities

• Support design, configuration, installation, and maintenance of automation software and hardware.
• Work on automation projects including integration of 3rd party equipment with DCS/BMS and data reporting.
• Develop and manage URS/FS/DDS documents and lead change controls.
