Ralliant is seeking an Automation Engineer II for its PacSci EMC operations in Hollister, CA. The role spans mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and optical domains to deliver fully automated lines from concept to production ramp‑up.

You will design tooling, fixtures, and integrated automation systems, work with cross‑functional teams, and own deployments from qualification through sustainment, with travel up to 50% across sites.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in automation engineering within electronics, aerospace, defense, or automotive manufacturing.
• BS in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics or related field required.
• Experience scaling automation systems from prototype to full production.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design and scale-up to fully automated production lines.
• Design tooling and fixtures for manual, semi-automatic, and automated processes.
• Translate system requirements into operation principles for full automation.
• Apply multidisciplinary expertise to deliver integrated automation solutions.
• Act as SME for deployed automation platforms and lifecycle improvements.
• Develop BOMs, procedures, spare parts lists, and PM schedules.
• Provide hands-on training and troubleshooting on the floor.
• Lead system integration, architecture development, and validation.
