Job summary
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Project Engineer for the Engineering Services Special Protection Systems team in Pullman, WA. You will design, develop, test, and commission POWERMAX power management and microgrid control systems, including RTAC programming and HMI development.
You will work with customers and project teams to deliver customized automation solutions, following SEL values and world-class manufacturing principles.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline.
- 2+ years experience with electric power systems and automation.
- Knowledge of protection and control, integration or automation.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally at least 25%.
- Strong writing and speaking skills.
- Able to learn new skills and work in a team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and commission POWERMAX power management and microgrid control systems.
- RTAC programming, HMI development, system integration and on-site commissioning support.
- Prepare design documents, reports, and test deliverables.
- Support customers and project managers with automation solutions.
- Adhere to SEL values and manufacturing principles.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to meet project requirements.
