Job summary

Edare LLC in Lebanon, NH is seeking a Software and Automation Engineer to advance automation of heat exchanger production lines and support Python-based CAM software.

You'll collaborate with mechanical and fabrication engineers to develop new capabilities, set best practices, and grow the software/automation function while delivering high-quality results. The role offers a strong bonus program, 401(k) and medical options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Software/Computing required.
• Proficiency in Python and OpenCV; experience with Git, G-code, and robot/cobot programming.
• Strong algorithm development and scientific computing skills.
• Experience in embedded computing and R&D or production environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Rapid growth of a compact heat exchanger production line
• Maintenance and evolution of existing systems, including custom Python-based CAM software
• Setting best practices and driving the growth of the software and automation function at Edare
• Continuous learning and growth alongside a highly skilled and motivated technical team
• Collaborate with mechanical and fabrication engineers to improve legacy heat exchanger assembly processes by developing new capabilities
• Identify and order materials, parts, components, and equipment as needed
• Provide experimental support, including devising test fixtures, conducting tests, running experiments, troubleshooting, collecting, recording, and analyzing data
