The Automation Engineer will be responsible for supporting and enhancing automated systems across a production environment. This individual will collaborate cross‑functionally with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to drive improvements in equipment performance, reliability, and overall manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and refine automated equipment and control systems to streamline manufacturing operations.
  • Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions to increase throughput and reduce downtime.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to electrical, mechanical, and control system components.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing production data and recommending enhancements.
  • Ensure all systems adhere to established safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation including system configurations, procedures, and technical specifications.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical discipline.
  • Hands‑on PLC programming experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial automation systems within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting and optimizing automated equipment.
  • 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, controls engineering, or robotics within a production setting.
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments involving high‑speed or complex automated systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment.
Compensation Range

$80,000- $130,000
