Job summary

Apple, Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer for the Diagnostics Engineering team in Sunnyvale, CA. You will shape the team’s automation strategy, expand frameworks, and build tools to support QA testing for diagnostics across multiple Apple products.

You’ll mentor engineers, work with global teams, and contribute to monitoring systems while ensuring readiness for testing the latest Apple devices. Strong QA, CI/CD knowledge, and curiosity are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of Swift and Python programming experience.
• Experience building and growing XCUITests and supporting frameworks.
• Proven understanding of software testing and QA methodologies.
• Ability to translate feature requirements into test plans and cases.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in a dynamic team.
• Strong knowledge of Unix-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Define automation requirements and roadmaps with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on automation.
• Design, implement and maintain automation frameworks and tools for Diagnostics and Repair QA.
• Expand monitoring systems and scale the QA Automation Lab fleet.
