Job summary

ARM International seeks an engineer to join a Program Technical Office supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing automation program. You will work closely with the Hybrid Node Automation Team, workstream leads, project automation teams, and system integrators to implement automation standards and software components.

The role requires DeltaV Batch knowledge and Python scripting capabilities to support process automation, testing, commissioning, qualification, and validation in line with GMP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Python scripting; practical development experience is highly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Emerson DeltaV Batch DCS.
• Experience with batch control, recipe configuration, phases, equipment modules, control modules, and ISA 88 concepts.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical or life sciences automation projects.
• Strong understanding of GMP, regulatory requirements, change control, and computer system validation principles.

Responsibilities

• Support automation workstreams within the Program Technical Office.
• Develop automation standards, templates, and engineering guidance.
• Define and modify DeltaV Batch software components.
• Participate in the in house development of a recipe builder tool using Python scripting.
• Assist in developing reusable automation components, recipe structures, and software design standards.
• Coordinate with automation, process, digital plant, CSV, manufacturing, quality, and other project stakeholders.
• Support testing, commissioning, qualification, and validation activities in accordance with GMP requirements.
