Goodwin is seeking a Co‑op to join the Enterprise Applications team in Boston. You will help design, build, and ship internal tools and AI-assisted prototypes that streamline how the firm operates, with a hands-on builder mindset.

As part of a global operations environment, you’ll turn loosely scoped problems into working prototypes on tight timelines and document your work for long-term use. This is a growth‑focused, cross‑functional internship with real impact.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Familiarity with .Net Framework, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python; REST APIs and SQL a plus.
• Able to read and write real code; full-stack experience a plus.
• Curious about AI-assisted development and tools like Claude or Cursor.
• Able to turn a rough problem into a working prototype and iterate.
• Strong written and verbal communication; explain what you built to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and shipping small useful things quickly.
• Familiarity with modern web development and workflow automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create lightweight dashboards and tracking views for team utilization and delivery throughput.
• Maintain an integration inventory mapping internal tools and downstream dependencies.

We're looking for a Co-op to join the Enterprise Applications team and work directly with the team's manager on the small, high-leverage tools that make our team run. The Enterprise Applications team designs, builds, and ships internal software that streamlines how the firm operates - increasingly, as full-stack applications developed with AI-assisted tooling rather than traditional low-code platforms. This internship is a hands-on builder role: you'll take loosely scoped problems, turn them into working prototypes quickly, and ship things that people on the team actually use.

You'll work under the manager's direction on well-scoped problems, with room to own the design and delivery of the small tools you build. Two threads will define most of your work. The first is making the team more visible and organized - building small agents, tracking tools, and reports that help the manager see how the team is spending its time, what's shipping, and how the pieces we've built connect to the systems around them. The second is keeping the developer pipeline flowing - reviewing how work gets scoped, handed off, and closed out, and building lightweight tools and procedures that help our developers stay unblocked and productive.

What You Will Do:

• Build small agents in Claude that watch team signals (calendars, PRs, deployments, request queues) and produce reminders, nudges, and status updates
• Build lightweight dashboards and tracking views for team utilization, work in flight, and delivery throughput
• Build and maintain an integration inventory - a living map of which internal tools depend on which downstream systems - so we always know what breaks when something upstream changes
• Build small tools and process artifacts that keep the dev pipeline healthy: backlog visibility, spec and scaffold templates, post-deploy health checks, and similar
• Take loosely scoped problems from the manager and turn them into working prototypes on short timelines
• Iterate on what you ship based on real usage - refine, extend, and retire tools as needed
• Document what you build clearly enough that it outlives the internship
• Contribute reusable patterns, scaffolds, and prompts back to the team as they emerge

Who You Are:

• Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or the equivalent in practical experience
• Familiarity with .Net Framework, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, standard web frameworks, REST APIs, SQL a plus
• Comfortable reading and writing real code (TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python); a plus if you've shipped anything full-stack, even a personal project or class project
• Curious about AI-assisted development and interested in getting fluent with tools like Claude, Cursor, or similar; hands-on experience is a plus
• Able to take a rough verbal problem statement and produce a working prototype, then iterate
• Strong written and verbal communication; can explain what you built and why, to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable with ambiguity and biased toward shipping small useful things quickly rather than long investigations
• Familiarity with workflow automation concepts, integration patterns, and modern web development is a plus
