Johnson Controls is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our manufacturing teams in York, PA. You will define equipment requirements, develop technical specifications, and lead automation projects from concept through production startup to improve safety, quality, and uptime.

You will program PLCs and HMIs, work with robotics and vision systems, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and suppliers to implement reliable automation solutions across manufacturing lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years designing, implementing, and supporting automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and machine vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation projects from concept through production launch.
• Define equipment requirements and develop technical specifications for new automation equipment.
• Design, program, and support PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and machine vision systems.
• Develop and maintain automation standards across manufacturing operations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize equipment performance to improve reliability and uptime.
