Job summary

Cubic Digital Intelligence is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Unified Video engineering organization, focusing on automation, developer productivity, and AI-assisted software development. You will design and implement automation that speeds software delivery, testing, deployment, and release workflows across multiple teams.

The role leverages Python, Node.js, and scripting to reduce manual tasks, and to enable higher quality software faster.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional software development or automation experience.
• Experience with Python, JavaScript/Node.js, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Experience with Git, source control workflows, and CI/CD concepts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for software development, testing, deployment, and operations.
• Build AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity across teams.
• Develop automation using Python, Node.js, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages.
• Create and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines and workflow automation for software delivery.
• Integrate AI services and large language models into engineering workflows where appropriate.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment with Ansible and containers.
• Develop internal tooling, dashboards, and utilities to improve efficiency and visibility.
• Collaborate with software engineers, DevSecOps, QA, and Product teams to identify automation opportunities.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications for engineering processes.
• Produce technical documentation, standards, and best practices for automation.
