Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an Automation & Advanced Manufacturing professional to drive machining, fabrication, and material handling automation across multiple sites. You will turn manufacturing needs into safe, production-ready automation concepts and participate in design, simulation, and deployment activities.

The role emphasizes hands-on robotics, safety, and cross-functional collaboration with IT, maintenance, and operations, with travel as needed across enterprise sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and 3+ years in automation or robotics.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robots in production settings.
• Ability to design automation concepts, layouts, and interfaces.
• Experience with robot simulation and offline programming tools.

Responsibilities

• Support automation projects from concept through production launch.
• Evaluate processes and identify practical automation opportunities.
• Develop concepts, layouts, simulations, and technical specifications.
• Perform robot reach, payload, interference, and process simulations.
• Assist in vendor selection, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup.
• Collaborate with controls, manufacturing, quality, maintenance, EHS, suppliers, and integrators.
• Document lessons learned and replicate successful automation solutions across sites.
• Support Automation & Advanced Manufacturing standards and technology strategy.
