Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an Automation & Advanced Manufacturing professional to lead automation projects from concept to production across multiple sites. You will apply robotics expertise to design concepts, layouts, and simulations, supporting capital projects and ensuring safety and production readiness.

The role requires hands-on experience with industrial robots, strong collaboration with diverse teams, and travel to enterprise manufacturing sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of industrial automation or robotics experience.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robots in production.
• Ability to design automation concepts, layouts, tooling interfaces.
• Experience with robot or manufacturing simulation / offline programming.
• Strong knowledge of machine safety and production readiness.
• Effective project execution and cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel to enterprise sites.

Responsibilities

• Support automation projects from concept through production launch.
• Evaluate manufacturing processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Develop automation concepts, layouts, simulations, and technical specs.
• Perform robot reach, payload, interference, and process simulations.
• Provide capital estimates, ROI analyses, and project documentation.
• Participate in vendor selection, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and startup.
• Collaborate with controls, manufacturing, quality, maintenance, EHS, and suppliers.
• Troubleshoot and optimize robotic and automated systems.
